Today's Guest(s)
Bruce Sheridan embraces mystery. Raised in Union City, New Jersey, the fourth child in a family of eight, his life was never boring. Union City is the home of the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel which connects New Jersey to New York City. It’s a tough town. The author estimates he had participated in six hundred fights by the time he graduated from high school.
In 1977, Bruce headed off to Georgia Tech to study engineering. He was on the Men’s Varsity track team and ran the 110M high hurdles and the 400M intermediate hurdles. In 1988, he was a member of the US Virgin Islands Olympic Sailing Team.
With degree in hand, he headed to Miami, Florida in 1981. As an engineer for Florida Power and Light, he designed and built the power grid that supplies electricity to residential and commercial enterprises. Attending graduate school at night, he earned his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami. He also earned his Professional Engineering License from the State of Florida.
Bruce has worked for large corporations like General Electric and Bank of America. For many years he’s been an entrepreneur running his own coaching business and helping entrepreneurs. Bruce implements the Entrepreneurial Operating System, EOS®.
Bruce is the founder of Life Compass, Inc. Life Compass is a 501c3 non-profit committed to helping young people think about their future and creating a personal Life Compass® to help them live their best life.
In 1984, Bruce fell on his knees and asked God to save his life.
God answered that prayer. Ever since then, he’s been a warrior for God.
In 2022, Stonebrook Publishing published Bruce’s book, “A Well-Launched Life: How Young People Can Live an Intentional, Fulfilling Life.”
Bruce has been married to Jan since 1991, and they have four awesome sons, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter, an Irish Wheaten Terrier, and a tabby cat. He enjoys riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, golfing, camping, time at the beach, and serving at his church.
