I just finished reading your book “Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters.” I want to thank you for it and for your strong and clear position.
I have worked with students between 12 and 25 years of age for the past 20 years. What you share from a medical and experiential view point, I have experienced from the spiritual view point. I so heartily concur with your teaching and have shared many of these same principles as I have counseled and spoken to both teens and parents over the years. It seems the battle of our day is getting parents to engage in the lives of their kids with balanced, loving authority and guidance.
I look forward to reading the rest of your books and to using them in my weekly influence over the many teens and parents that I work with, as well as with the youth leaders and families that I speak to across the country during a given year.
Keep writing and keep standing strong on these important matters. I too am writing and addressing these types of issues… but God knows we need all to positive voices we can find to fight the trends of modern culture.
I just wanted you to know, this is one outlet where your principles will be handed on to others as I strongly urge fathers to engage in the lives of their daughters and sons!
